Our philosophy of leadership is that of a “shared ministry.” It is not the easiest way to be a church together, but, we believe that it represents how Jesus called his church into being and how we gain the most from each individual.
Simply put, we believe that each person is touched by God’s Spirit in some particular way so that they have their leadership niche in the congregation. When someone new comes in, everything shifts and we get used to shifting around, working with each other, loving each other to see that the other is using their leadership. [In some circles, this touch of the Spirit is called being “gifted by the Holy Spirit.”]
